Be Part of the Next Brew

It’s time for the next round of our Zoigl-Wort Share! This time, we’re brewing up something new for you to experiment with: our Dunkelweizen wort.

This wort will be rich in ferulic acid, making it the perfect base for your creativity. You can lean into tradition with a German wheat yeast strain or branch out with a Belgian POF+ (phenolic off-flavor positive) yeast for those signature clove and spice notes. (And yes, “off-flavor” is a bit of a misnomer; that spice character is exactly what makes many beers shine.)

Prefer to keep things clean? A non-POF+ yeast will let the malt and wheat flavors take center stage. There’s no wrong direction, and we can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Follow these steps to join the wort share:

  1. Register below.

  2. Bring your clean carboy and airlock to the brewery.

  3. Pick up your 5-gallon batch of wort.

  4. Pitch your chosen yeast and ferment at home.

  5. Enjoy the results and bring your finished beer to the BIERFEST TASTING PARTY on Saturday, January 10 th at 4pm. Taste your beer with fellow homebrewers and the brewing staff of Zoiglhaus. You’ll receive a commemorative pint glass and a pint of finished beer from the wort. We’ll score each participant’s beer with a BJCP Beer Scoresheet, and the highest scoring beer wins a free entry into our next Wort Share!
