Of all the Pilsner substyles, the one brewed in Northern Germany is the driest and crispest with a great hop character. Brewed according to the German Purity Law of 1516, we use German malts, hops and yeast. Herkules and Herbrucker hops provide the spicy and snappy flavor.

German malts provide the light breadiness while German hops give this beer a light spicy flavoring. The bavarian Hefeweizen yeast strain provides the rest; banana ester with a light phenolic clove note. This beer can be paired with nearly any food and is great for drinking on its own as well.

Germans aren't well known for big hoppy beers, but Portland is, so we put our brewers to work creating the ultimate German IPA. Hop-forward, spicy, herbal and citrus aromas from the German hops meld with the clean backbone of German malts and yeast. What does this explosive mix create? A hop bomb, or as the Germans say it: Hopfenbombe!

Brewed just like in Cologne with all-German ingredients, then fermented slow and cool with an authentic Kölsch yeast strain brought back from our Brewmaster's studies in Germany. Crisp and lightly fruity- a year-round sessionable German-style ale.

Cascade and Columbus hops are right at home in this Northwest-Style Red Ale: Wood, spice, pine and citrus notes shine against the crisp backdrop of a blend of pale, carapils, caramel and chocolate malts.

Hop-focused, yet sessionable, Haus IPA is brewed with Columbus, Amarillo, Cascade and El Dorado hops, dry-hopped and unfiltered. The vibrant citrus, stone fruit, wood and pine aromas and flavors will bring you back to our Haus!

Our house lager is based on the Bavarian Helles, which was created as a response to the rise of the Pilsner beers in the 19th century, being less bitter and a bit more malt-focused. A great Helles combines a clean, crisp malt background with a subtle -yet present- spicy hop flavor. It has an elegant simplicity and ultimate drinkability.

A Zoiglhaus brewer was walking through the pub with a glass of Zoigl-Weiss when someone from Shimai-Toshi ran into him, spilling Yuzu zest into his beer. ``You got Yuzu in my Zoigl-Weiss,`` he cried. ````You got Zoigl-Weiss on my Yuzu,`` she replied. ``Mmmmm, delicious!``

Our love of small-batch and hand-crafted brews shines through in this delightfully hazy IPA. Brewed with oats for a smooth and creamy body, the fun starts once the hop bags are torn open! The amazing tangerine and grapefruit juiciness comes from our copious additions of Mosaic, Simcoe and Azacca hops late in the kettle and in the fermentor. After tasting this you will be saying, “This is some Awesome Sauce!”

We're going loco-local with this fruited version of our Berliner Weisse. Inspired by the amazing wheat beers of Berlin, Germany, we start with malts and hops from the Great Northwest and then blend Tart and Sweet Cherry Purees from our friends at Oregon Fruit Products into this crisp and refreshing brew.

This Fresh Hop version of our Zoigl-Kölsch has a massive blast of Tettnanger hops from our friends at Goschie Farms in the whirlpool. We fermented slow and cool with the authentic Kölsch yeast strain brought back from our Brewmaster's studies in Germany. Crisp with lightly fruity aromas and that oh-so-special aroma and flavor of fresh hops!
